the left side of the gifs are my colouring and the right side is the original gif. i use a base psd for most of my gifs and just play around with it until i like it!

ok so here are 4 different gifs where you can see the before on the left and the after my colouring on the right side. i mainly try to make my gifs look warmer and softer with my colouring, but still try to give the gifs a natural look:
1. i adjust the level on each gif and if necessary i add some curve layer.
2. then i usually add red on the colour balance scale (often up to half of the possible on the red side) i also add a bit of magenta (to make it mostly look a bit softer) and some yellow there.
3. from the colour balance i move to selective colour. in selective colour i add in the red onto the black and also always add in black in the blacks.
4. lastly i move to hue/saturation and and go into the dark on the lightness scale. sometimes i add some saturation.(side note: i added topaz clean and topaz denoise and sharpening to the gifs before making my colouring so they look smooth and sharp)
